I'm a fan of Pierre's, but if he wanted to try this strategy, he should have done it with a different video. If you expect people to pay this kind of money for a single scene, it's simply not fair to penalize them and renege on your promises just so that it will be marginally more difficult for internet pirates to steal your content, which you were already paid handsomely for.

Since two days I have relaxed the level of security and maybe some people will arrive to steal it now because I don't really care anymore, but I also found a way to block piracy and it's just a begining, it will be perfectionned in future.

Pierre, I like your work, and will always support the stuff you put out that suit my taste, but please, don't make silly statements like that. Let's not talk about the serious hackers, just the leisure "for the fun of it" hacker would be able to quietly slip in and lift out the viola casting video. It's a question of "want to or not" instead of "able to or not". It's not already made available "to the public" only out of respect for the content creator's livelihood.

I can tell by this post you have absolutely no idea about what a pirate board is...trust me chan is a public board where all young punks and teens hangout..so if you think Viola´s casting will be posted there in a near future you are way out of the road my friend. Real hardcore hackers especially the black hat ones are unstoppable, whatever you throw against them. No anti-piracy or anti hacker defense will help against them. These ultra smart guys could make people's life real miserable. Look at that Hacking Team company, whose dirty secrets now have leaked out and all the Chinese/Russian hacks and not least the NSA guys (Snowden revelations). These guys don't recognize any laws and do what they want. Better not wake them up.

A famous argument but only partially true. There are different client segments, a significant part for sure will never ever pay for porn out of philosophy.

But there is a segment of clients who only pay if they have to. If they get that scene for free they will not pay. If they dont get that scene for free they will pay to get it.

As you said, that is such a small sample size there is honestly not that much you can take from it. But yes, there is definitely something about that, atleast in my opinion. If someone can't get it for free, it's entirely plausible they will pay for it

I like the segmentation you suggest, it makes logical sense. I doubt they will pay for one scene though -- few are likely to pay $30 for one scene at a subscription site. However, I have a good percentage of customers who join for a month, download the last 50 or so scenes, and come back half a year later and do the same. Fair game to me.

At the end of the day we can forget about enticing people to pay money who are willing to spend ours of surfing around sharers forums and torrent sites. The added value we can offer is simply more user friendliness. Just like anyone can get a stolen version of Windows or the Adobe tools off the torrents but if I buy them I know they will just work out of the box and I don't end up ours installing little cracks and activators. I exchange valuable time for a little money. 17 year old highschool kids have tons of time on their hands to surf around forums with half-dead links and they have very little money. IMO a waste of time to convince them to pay for porn. Once they work and have their hands full with a 80 hour week some of them might come around

He said it is not question of money but of time value.It is stupid to waste your time getting something for "free" (time value) if you have enough money to pay for it.


I totally agree with that.

Plus piracy is like the most targeted advertising you could get .If you deny it,you are getting away from 70% of your potential customers
and you will have to spend a lot in advertising to reach a slice of them.
