xonair to Germany - avoid them!

Just want to tell you that I had a big problem with xonair at the moment. In January I've ordered 4 DVDs which were shipped in 3 parts with their cheap International Airmail option. I didn't receive one of these packages, also no info from Customs, so I think it's simply lost in the mail.

xonair then made me the offer to ship the 2 DVDs again at half the price, which I accepted and also bought 2 new DVDs. I've choosed USPS Global Express with tracking option for $23 this time. The last thing that I heard was that my package will be inspected by Customs in Germany. For sure it was confiscated after the inspection, and after getting mail from German customs last week, I know now why:
They didn't use a private sender address as they normally did with International Airmal, but their company address and marked it as goods, not as gift. It's absolute clear that this acctract the interest of our customs. And what's very strange is, that the Customs told me that there was only 2 DVDs inside not 4. I've paid for 4 and they only send 2!!! And they send it in a way, so they could be 99% sure I've never get the package.

Great shop

You're also from Germany, Frigo. Have they ever put their company address as sender address instead of a private one?

Ah, therefore the links to DVDs on their website. Did they sponsor EBI?

we got some dvds for free (depends on how much we sell through our links), so we need our members to order from xonair!

Probably you could inform xonair about the complaint from your side, Frigo. As a business-partner your word might count. and, although i order from austria, i will be a little more alert next time, i wish to order my monthly dose.

I never got any problem with them and I do order regularely.
The problem in Camabans case seems to be the UPS option. I had lots of problems with customs before when ordering with other retailers using UPS, because this seems to attract the customs, the more if a retailer ticks "goods" instead of "gifts". Since that time I avoid anything sent by another carrier than the State post office.

Decalring "goods" instead of "gift" is dangerous for sure. EBI should inform Xonair about.
But to avoid problems better use non-trackable normal post delivery. Even if at some time somthing gets lost, the lower postage fare well recompensates it.

Xonair generally (not only ordering to Germany) seems to list unavailable goods for a long time. :(
Beware of this!
I ordered a Private dvd for the second time in a few months and later got an out of stock answer. They do always reimbourse you the money spent, but its still bit a pain in the neck. The more as this time I really could not wait to hold the film in my hands as it was a yet unknown Vivienne LaRoche scene shot by JYL.
If they dont have them in stock xonair should better dont offer Private at all!
The same may apply to their Hustler/H2 dvds.

I've just made my first order with them....arrived in 9 days from placing order (to UK) and they did tick a "gift" box on the cover so it seems they may have adapted their labelling. I just used standard post, no courier. Very pleased with this first effort. :D
