Is it possible to select a more eye-catching color to mark unread/new posts/threads in the forum?

Generally it is possible. Needs either creation of a new board-style, or some changes in the existing 2 board-styles.

Plus it takes some time and also patience. Maybe one of the admins will find some of both. Let´s keep our fingers crossed.
