India was out of the biz for a while promoting her music. About a month ago she appeared on LA Direct's website, so I guess she's back.

Yes, she's been in and out of the business before.

I like India and I wish her success, but I don't think she's a very strong singer. Fortunately for her, that isn't much of a requirement these days, is it? Not having seen her shows I can't speak to her stage performance, but I doubt Beyonce has anything to worry about.

Regarding the number and quality of black women in porn, I don't think it has changed much. Stefano doesn't seem to have a problem finding them. The number who get shot by the big players is the only thing that varies.

I do agree that the market for Latinas has grown in recent years.

Thanks for the update on India. My impression is that she's been out of the biz for quite a while by now, that she quit sometime in the early 2000's. There was a period a few years ago when her profile on the porn net had really diminished (i was trying to collect her pics but only could fin a few sets of soft glam of that overly retouched kind that i shun), as happens when stars pass the peak of their prominence then stop working. Even if she hasn't and doesn't come back, enough time may have passed for the inevitable India (and Obsession?) revival. Like all forms of entertainment, porns seems to follow a certain rhythm in the cycle of revivals. There's hardly any interest in once highly visible artistes like Vanda Vitus & Monica Sweetheart at the moment, but Erica Bella & Julia Chanel, for example, seem to be more & more in evidence lately. Some superstars like Tabitha Cash & Sarah Young never seem to be absent for long. Sadly, two of my all-time favorites from an earlier era, Kassi Nova & Sabrina Gelata, are almost entirely absent from the net. Maybe it's the pre-digital quality of their surviving VHS/magazine material. I for one threw away whatever stuff I owned of theirs ages ago.

India is alive and strutting her swagg over on MySpace. She's got a Musician's Page and her stuff is sort of standard sexy rap. Not at all bad, but not my bag.

India is a for-real cool person, just trying to make her way in the entertainment field, leveraging her singing career by tapping her extensive base of porn fans. She often jokes about how much more $$ she used to get / can still get by doing a vid or 2 instead of working her music thang.

India's been on MySpace for ages. It's not my bag, either, so I haven't checked her page out recently.

I joined her website a couple of years ago but found it to be poorly organized and sparsely populated, so I couldn't recommend it. At least Video Team reimbursed me after I gave the site a poor review over on Adult DVD Talk, so I have no complaints.

I've checked back from time to time but it seems that she only tends to it sporadically so I've never bothered re-upping.

Though India's been back in porn for months now I've only recently seen a 'coming attraction' with her in it. I'm not sure if that's an indication of her limited availability or of producers' limited interest in shooting her.

At any rate, despite my opinion on her ambitions relative to her talents, she seemed like a nice person when I met her, so I hope things are going well for her.
